Today our class visited state parks.Here is what we found.
Carolina Beach State Park on Pleasure Isalnd by Toni and Jaime Carolina Beach was named for the Carolina Indians.There are lots of animals like ducks and birds.People want to go hiking. I would also love to go fishing sheep shad and stripe bass. If I could go for the day I would take pictures and have a picnin. I would also try to look for different plants. Medoc Mountain by Carlos and Kevin
Medoc Mountain is not really a mountain. It was named by weller who named it after the Bordeaux region of France famous for it's vineyard.. When Weller died his land was sold.It is a very quiet place where birds are chirping and bears are eating, climbing, and swiming. If we could go for the day we would stay and play in the water, whistle with the birds, and climb tree, and have peace and calm. Kevin would relax while birds are singing.Then I will take pictures so my teacher could see. In Falls Lake you can find many animals like red tail hawks, osprey, and bald eagles. Colorful wildflowers are all through the park. There are 12,00 acres of lake and 26 acres of woods. The Falls Lake Project which began in 1978,was developed by the US Corpse of Engineers to stop flooding in the park. If I could spend a day there, first I would swim, then I would get out of the water and fish for bass or catfish. Jockey's Ridge State Park by Caleb and Ryan
Jockey's Ridge is located on the Atlanic Coast. It was named after Algonquian Indians.It has high winds and shifting sands.There are rodents like the racoon and mice on the dunes. The dune were formed by water currents and hurricanes. If I could go for the day I would play in the dunes with my friends.Then I would go hang gliding over the dunes. Haw River State Park by Rasheem and Javon
The first land for the state park was the summit center. A retreat and conference center origianlly owned by the episopali donor.It is located near the head waters of the Haw River. The park is made up of 300 acres of piedmont forest, fields, wetlands, and uplands.If we could spend a day there we would go swimming and then go on a tour. Later I would get up a game of football to play in the fields. Mount Mitchell State Park by Justyna and Morgan
Mt. Mitchell is the tallest peak of all of the Black Mountains.In the crest of the timewarn mountians it reaches to The park is 1,946 acres. Mt Mitchell Some peopoe might see an Norhten Flying squirell or they might hear the call of a saw whet owl. They have wild flowers and oxeyed daisies. You will find frazier furs above 6000 feet.
The finished product was turned in as Assignment 3 in my graduate studies.
